SUNDAY SCHOOL

 Our Sunday school operations started under the guidance of church managing committee-during 1920. It was affiliated to the malankara jacobite Syrian Sunday school association (MJSSA).
In the year 1939, our church general assembly decided to restructure Sunday school activities. For more effective functioning, it constituted a Sunday school committee under the leadership of the managing committee.

FUNDING
No separate fund for our Sunday school but around rs.50 000/- is allocated in the annual budget of the church for Sunday school activities.

At present we have two Sunday schools named after st.john the babtist and st.thomas apostile.

ST JOHNS SUNDAY SCHOOL
It is being constructed at our own premises, 1km away from the church. It was 16 committed teachers and 120 students from
ST THOMAS SUNDAY SCHOOL
Is conducted at mini parish hall near the church. It has 12 talented teachers and 80 student’s from classed 1 to 4
Both the school start at11 Am and ends at 1 pm.

ACCADEMIC PERIOD
The academic year of the Sunday school commences in January every years and ends in November. The examinations are conducted as per the syllabus of MJSSA.

REFRESHMENT
Every Sunday snacks are served to all the students attending the Sunday school.

SPORTS &ARTS FESTIVALS
Every year during October, we are conducting our sports and arts festival. The winners will be Qualified for diocese and central level competition.
 

ANNUAL DAY
On February 13th(the Patriarchal day) ,We celebrate our Annual Day. On this day, we distribute prizes and trophies to the students who passed the examination and the competitions.

V B S
Vocation bible school is conducted during April for 10-days. Nearly 200 students actively participate in the VBS from different churches.
 

OFFICE ROOM
A separate office room was erected this year for Sunday school- for coordinating all Sunday school activities.

TEACHERS SEMINARS
We are sending our teachers for seminars and workshops organized by our diocese free of cost. Generally two-three seminars will be conducted annually.
 

CONCLUSION
Our Sunday school has grown from small beginning to a large branches of the Attamangalam church. It has completed the platinum jubilee in 1995 and is still growing.
 

MICHAEL  MOR DIONYSIOUS HALL

Michael   Mor  Dionysious hall of the church is the biggest in the region. The prime minister of India   Sri Adal  Bihari  Vajpai  attended a  function here on 2000  december.

Facilities:   -750 seats for lunch additional seats can be provided in the premises of the hall.

                     1500 seats for public meeting.

                     Ample car parking

                     Kitchen with all  amenities.

ATTAMANGALAM COMMERCIAL COMPLEX

Attamangalam  commercial complex is a main shopping complex  in  kumarakom. The largest home appliance show  room ,a  jewellery  and a bank are being functioning here.
