INTEGRATED REVIVAL
PROGRAMME (IRP)
The Integrated Revival Programme (IRP) evolved out of the visionary
proposals of Rev.FrAbraham Kothakeril Corepiscopa the vicar of St.
John’s Attamangalam Church Kumarakom.The programme had Its official
launch on 28 January 2007.IRP stands for integrity in the growth of
the parish and purvey of essential, knowledge and services on the
various endeavours of life with the cause of making responsible and
productive citizens. IRP also ensures the presence and participation
of every parish member in the various spiritual and secular affairs of
the church. The IRP is focused at developing saving habit among the
members with the help of its different income generating activities.
AIMS
The programme aims at
(a)
The spiritual and material development of
the members through co-operative effort.
(b)
To implant the thrust for subsistence
living among the members.
(c)
To provide supplementary income to
housewives and other employable work force, that comes under the
potential of employability.
(d)
To encourage savings among the members,
by way of generating income through the different external jobs
undertaken by the programme as well as, through transformations in the
way of life.
(e)
To reinforce, family and personal rapport
among the members, through co-operative ideology.
ACTIVITIES
(a)
Provide micro credit to the member units
at reasonable rate of interest and minimum formalities.
(b)
Set up of students, youth and senior
citizens camps with particular programmes and seminars.
(c)
Conducting meditation programmes, in
association with the church.
(d)
Support the members; engage in minor
agricultural productions, mainly aimed at subsistence consumption. The
support includes providing essential know-how’s by arranging expert
classes on individual areas of production
(e)
Conducting Prayer communion, on every
Sunday evenings.
ACHIEVEMENTS

Spiritual Growth
The IRP with different spiritual activities has been
successful in creating a revived spiritual temper among the members of
the parish. The weekly prayer, commune, has received much acclamation,
from different walks of believers community

Co operation
IRP
due to its peculiar mode of operations, via its units has embarked on
a new vista of co operative effort among the parish members. The
hitherto unfamiliar families and individuals of the parish have now
come to close contact and company.

Mushroom Farming
A full fledged mushroom farm operates under the guidance of the
IRP of the church.
4. Excess
Demand
The poultry farming encouraged by the IRP and supported by providing
siblings has received, overwhelming response. The excess demand for
the siblings still exists and the IRP is committed to meet the excess
demand.
5. Fish Farming
To
this date, we have received much response for support in setting up of
fish farms, from the member community.
AMBITION
The IRP aims ultimately at the integral growth of the believers
society, in terms of spiritual and physical being. However, the IRP
plans and proposes to intervene in certain areas of human life, like
health, economics and education with a unique passion of attainment.
Proposals are also in discussion for the programme to have a tie up
with the government.
